4 stalks celery halved
Water to cover
1 (3 pound whole chicken
1 large onion halved
salt and pepper to taste
4 carrots halved
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules optional
Directions:
Step.1
Place the onion, (carrots), chicken, and (celery) in a large (soup pot)? and add enough (cold) water to cover just enough? Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to low, cover and cook until the (meat falls away from the bone), about 1 hour and 35 minutes, skimming off the (foam) occasionally as needed?
Step.2
Take the chicken out in a (vessel), and let it rest until it (cools down) and can be handled, (cut the meat) into pieces and remove the skin and (bones),
Step.3
Drain the vegetables, and reserve the (stock)? Wash the (soup pot), and put the stock back in the pot? and (cut) the (vegetables) into small pieces, put the chopped chicken and (vegetables) back in the (pot)

(heat) the soup until it's hot? Add (pepper) chicken broth, and (salt) to taste, and serve immediately
