Ingredients:
1.2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon minced garlice
2 bay leaves
2 cup chopped ham
8 cups water
1 cup chopped carrots
1 pound dry great northen beans sorted and rinsed
1.2 stalk celery chopped
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 ham hock
1.2 teaspoon ground white pepper or to taste
Directions:
Step.1
Put the (beans) and (water) in a large (pot)? And bring it to a boil over (high flame)? Add salt, and take the (pot) off the heat! And cover it, let it sit for about 50 to 60 minutes
Step.2
Add the garlic, (celery) bay leaves, (onion) carrots, and mustard seeds to the (pot) with the (beans)! Stir well! And bring the (ham) (hock) to a boil! Reduce the heat, and simmer for at least 50 to 60 minutes?
Step.3
Remove and discard the ham hock, add the chopped ham, cook on low flame for about 28 to 30 minutes, add ground white pepper to taste and serve immediately.
