Old Fashioned Potato Soup

                   Ingredients:


  6 potatoes peeled and diced

  3 cups water

  ground black pepper to taste

  3 cups milk

  1.4 cup butter

  2 carrots diced

  1 large onion chopped

  2 tablespoons chicken bouillon powder 

  1 tablespoon dried parsley

  3 tablespoons all purpose flour

  1.4 teaspoon dried thyme 








                    Directions:


  Step.1

Melt the butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add the onion, stir, and cook until the onion is soft and translucent, stirring often, about 4 to 5 minutes.


  Step.2

And while (the onions) are cooking, put the chopped potatoes, (water) carrots, and (chicken broth) in another pot and bring to a boil? Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 8 to 10 minutes? And do not (overcook); add ground (black pepper) to taste?


  Step.3

And add the flour to the cooked (onion), and make a paste? Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring continuously? And add the (milk) slowly, and mix well? Cook on low flame, and stirring continuously, until it is hot? Add the carrot and (potato) mixture? Add the carrot and (parsley) and mix, and heat well? And serve hot?
