Ingredients:
5 teaspoons poppy seeds
3 tablespoons butter plus more for the pan
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1.4 teaspoon baking soda
1 rounded tablespoon white sugar
1 large egg
1 tablespoon lemon zest or more to taste
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 ya 1.2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder

Directions:

Mix the lemon peel and sugar well and let it rest for about 12 to 15 minutes.

In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together and keep it aside.

Add poppy seeds, (egg) and melted (butter) to the sugar bowl, and beat well! Add lemon juice, and (milk) and flour mixture! And beat slowly, slowly, until the flour disappears! Let the (batter) rest for about 12 to 15 minutes before using!

Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat, and apply melted butter or vegetable oil liberally over it.

For each pancake, pour about 1-3 cups of batter into the pan, and cook until you see a few bubbles on the surface, about 4 minutes! Flip and cook the other side for about 4 minutes!
