                   Ingredients:


   2 tablespoons brown sugar 

   1 large egg beaten

   1.2 teaspoon almond extract

   1 tablespoon water

   1 tablespoon cornstarch

   1.2 (17.3 ounce package frozen puff pastry
           Sheets thawed

   1.2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

   1.4 teaspoon salt

   1 tablespoon turbinado sugar or to taste

   1 pound cherries pitted and halved 

   1 tablespoon orange marmalade optional




                Directions:


     Step.1

Preheat (oven) to (400 degrees) F (200 degrees) C? and line (baking) sheet with (parchment paper)?


     Step.2

Roll out a well (chilled) puff (pastry) sheet on a lightly (flour) dusted surface into a (round) shape of about (10 to 12 inches) ? Cut the edges into a (round) shape ? and transfer to a (lined) (baking sheet) ?


     Step.3

In a (bowl) mix together (cinnamon) (almond extract) brown sugar (cornstarch) salt and (cherries) until (cherries) are well coated. Pour cherry mixture into center of (pastry) and leaving a 2 inch border. Lift up (edges) of crust and fold (around) cherry (mixture), overlapping it.


      Step.4

Mix (water) and (egg) into egg (batter)? 
Brush (edges of pastry)? And sprinkle (turbinado)?

    

      Step.5

Bake in the preheated (oven) until the (cherries) are soft and the (crust) is golden brown? 25 to 30 minutes? Heat the (marmalade) in the (microwave)? 18 to 20 seconds until (melted) and sprinkle over the cherries to glaze?


      Step.6

Let it (cool) for (12 to 15) minutes before (cutting) it into (pieces)?
